Full Hasbro Pulse Con 2022 Coverage – Indiana Jones, Transformers, Marvel, Power Rangers and more!
As of Saturday, Hasbro wrapped their annual Pulse Con, a reveal-filled livestream packed with goodies from every toyline.
Now it’s safe to say that Hasbro set the bar quite high last year, but all it needed for me was to be better than Lego Con (which, let’s be honest, wouldn’t be too difficult).
CATEGORIES
TRANSFORMERS
So, to kick off the livestream, Hasbro revealed the entirety of the first wave of Legacy Evolution (year two), revealed the biggest Light Bright ever, and a highly anticipated Magic the Gathering crossover (more on that later).
I have the greatest love for Transformers of all of these, so let’s take a deep dive:
In terms of the figures, Hasbro knocked it out the park: new Core Class Dinobots Slug and Sludge which combine (yes you, read that correctly!), along with a getting a Core Class Volcanicus which interacts with Weaponisers.
Breakdown completes the Stunticons as a remould of Wildrider; Needlenose not only introduces deluxe jets and reintroduces Battlemasters, but is also a character fans have been clamouring for since the 2018 fan vote. Hotshot seems like a nice mould which will look good with the upcoming Armada Optimus (see poster). Scraphook is probably the most interesting – a fully transformable Junkion Weaponiser, and honestly, I love him.
The Leo Prime doesn’t really interest me, but looks fine enough. And, what everyone has been waiting for, Tarn, I have loved this character since the beginning of IDW G2 and this is possibly my favourite Pulsecon reveal – already sold out on pre-order! Unfortunately no leaders, the world is still feeling the knock on from COVID.
Let’s take a look at them in a little more detail, shall we?

MARVEL LEGENDS
Marvel also had a stellar reveal season, with some retro X-Men, Black Panther, Spidey, and Daredevil reveals.
My favourites of these new announcements are the Retro Iron Man and the Daredevil 3 pack.
Let’s take a closer look:

Marvel Legends Series Deluxe Retro Iron Man
Marvel Legends Series Daredevil, Elektra, and Marvel’s Bullseye
POWER RANGERS
Power Rangers had a slightly more disappointing slate of new releases, but there is still one major banger and the Street Fighter crossover figures are still impressive.
Speaking of the highlight, the Project In Space Astro Megazord is very impressive, and is perfect with your TMNT figures to recreate that one crossover.
Let’s take a look:
Power Rangers Lightning Collection Beast Morphers Yellow Ranger
Power Rangers Lightning Collection Wild Force Putrid
Power Rangers Lightning Collection Dino Charge Blue Ranger
Power Rangers Lightning Collection Dino Fury Green Ranger
Power Rangers X Street Fighter Lightning Collection Morphed Cammy Stinging Crane Ranger
Power Rangers X Street Fighter Lightning Collection Morphed Ken Soaring Falcon

MAGIC THE GATHERING
Magic had a very mixed set of reveals this year. Hasbro previewed the next wave, and I know nothing about Magic so I’m the wrong person to ask about it.
I do know about Transformers though, and I can say the card art was lovely, with both Shattered Glass and regular forms of the ‘bots. Gameplay speaking, the living metal mechanic is clever, but other than that, only Starscream’s monarch theft ability feels like the character. Optimus lacks a Matrix, Energon Axe, or inspiration-related ability which leads him to feeling quite lacklustre. I think it’s a shame the Transformers TCG team weren’t involved more.
G.I. JOE
While I really don’t care for G.I Joe personally, I can admit that they always feature a high level of detail, and the same can be said about this lineup of figures, with even a NERF gun to add to it.
Here’s what was announced:
G.I. Joe Classified Series Courtney “Cover Girl” Krieger Action Figure
G.I. Joe Classified Series Mad Marauders Gabriel “Barbecue” Kelly Figure
G.I. Joe Classified Series CRIMSON B.A.T. Action Figure
G.I. Joe Classified Series Vincent R. “Falcon” Falcone Figure
G.I. Joe Classified Series Stuart “Outback” Selkirk Action Figure
G.I. Joe Classified Series Serpentor & Air Chariot Figure and Vehicle
Nerf LMTD G.I. Joe GI-40 Blaster
INDIANA JONES
From the first moment these were teased in the pre-show, I was excited. While everything revealed is great, there definitely could have been more. However, I hope this is just the beginning for this line and that best is yet to come.
Indiana Jones Adventure Series Staff of Ra Headpiece
Indiana Jones Adventure Series Major Arnold Toht

STAR WARS
This year, Star Wars had reveals for all of its major sub-brands. Retro collection unveiled two new figures, and an epic, yet expensive figure set, while Black Series continues to knock it out the park with its high standard of detail. However, by far my favourite was the Vintage Collection the Modal Nodes.
Here’s the full list of releases:
Star Wars The Vintage Collection Vel Sartha
Star Wars The Vintage Collection Cassian Andor
Star Wars The Vintage Collection The Modal Nodes
Star Wars The Vintage Collection The Rescue Set Multipack
Star Wars The Black Series Axe Woves
Star Wars The Black Series Bix Caleen
Star Wars The Black Series Cassian Andor
Star Wars The Black Series Luthen Rael
Star Wars The Black Series Senator Mon Mothma
Star Wars The Black Series Cassian Andor & B2EMO
Star Wars The Black Series Wicket
Star Wars The Black Series Princess Leia (Endor)
Star Wars The Black Series Han Solo (Endor)
Star Wars The Black Series Biker Scout
Star Wars The Black Series Lando Calrissian
HASLAB
Only one Haslab offering this year, which is quite surprising, and not really much coverage of the Engine of Vengeance either.
HEROSCAPE AGE OF ANNIHILATION: Vanguard Edition
Really, really cool. Really, really expensive.
Seriously though, it captures the very ’80s aesthetic of HeroQuest, with the art on the boards, the exquisite plastics, bit the figures and the massive terrain pieces. Highlights would have to be the dragon figure and the aforementioned modular terrain.
Overall, Hasbro absolutely knocked it out of the park this year, with loads of excellent reveals for every corner of every fan base.
I will say one or two more Haslab offerings would’ve been nice, but after the disaster that was last year’s Rancor, it seems Hasbro had slowed down on giant crowdfunders, which may not necessarily be a bad thing.
