On the 26th of October, Hasbro held a Premium-exclusive Pulse Stream, which included reveals from many of their popular IPs, so let’s dive in and see what’s new.
STAR WARS
Star Wars had a relatively tame reveal slate with only four figures, two of which are Cal Kestis, who fills the role of a much desired Black Series figure and includes an adorable BD-1; and Boba Fett, who is a full Black Series figure on classic return of the Jedi card back, which is admittedly very exciting.

GAUNTLET VERDICT: The Chandra gauntlet is an incredible recreation of the in game model, it is impeccably detailed. The light up feature coupled with the lights creates a wonderful fire effects, but we’ll have to wait till in hand copies are shown off to really understand the extent to which this is effective. DICELING VERDICT: We don’t need more dice, we don’t need more dice, we don’t need more dice… Well done Hasbro, you’re making us buy more dice. Seriously though, the Dicelings are incredible, the Red Dragon in particular. I think the fact these folks into the odd Shadow that D20s are is a testimony to the designers’ skill. All I’d be cautious of is is that, if the tabs and joints aren’t tight enough, they won’t roll properly. Lastly, these are all for the movie toyline, meaning we may see a wide range of iconic monsters in Honour Among Thieves.
HASLAB TRANSFORMERS
With Star Saber well into production and on his way in the near future, it was about time the hammer unveiled the next big crowdfundable robot. So let’s take a closer look:
Transformers Generations Deathsaurus
(Ages 15 and Up | Retail Price: £179.99 | Available: Autumn 2023)
One of the most feared beings in the known universe, the powerful and ruthless Decepticon, Deathsaurus, has spread his reign of terror and destruction for eons and is now making his Transformers line debut for the first time in over 30 years as the Transformers Generations HasLab Deathasurus.
The new HasLab re-creates Deathsaurus, inspired by the Japanese anime Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Victory, as a premium 11-inch converting figure with 30 points of articulation and accessories that include Sword and arrow and Death Tailer shield, along with converting Tigerchest and Eaglechest Micromaster figures. The new Transformers Generations HasLab Deathasurus crowdfunding project is available to crowdfund now through December 12, 2022 exclusively on Hasbro Pulse.
OVERVIEW:
One of the most feared beings in the known universe, Deathsaurus has spread his reign of terror and destruction for eons. The only force stopping him from achieving ultimate power has been that annoyance of an Autobot, Star Saber. But his brilliant mind has thought up a new plan, and this time, nothing can stop the Emperor of Destruction. Deathsaurus is launching his next attack – turn HasLab into the ultimate weapon and destroy Star Saber, once and for all!
Hasbro Pulse is bringing Transformers fans a battle of epic proportions! Last year, HasLab brought Japanese canon into the world of Transformers for the first time with Victory Saber*. Now, we invite you to welcome the archnemesis of the Supreme Commander of the Autobots into your collection. The powerful and ruthless Decepticon, Deathsaurus, is the next HasLab project!
– Premium 11-inch Deathsaurus converting figure inspired by the Japanese anime, Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Victory
– Converting Tigerchest and Eaglechest Micromaster figures
– Death Tailer shield accessory
– Sword and arrow accessoriesPre-order and back the Transformers Generations Deathsaurus HasLab project for £179.99 in the UK through uk.HasbroPulse.com.
VERDICT: Deathsaurus is one of the lead villains of Transformers Victory, making him the perfect companion to Victory Saber. However, even as someone who doesn’t care for Victory or Victory Saber, I find myself tempted by this. I’d guess it’s because Deathsaurus frequently appeared in the IDW comics, as well the fact the figure is just amazing.
He features a high level of detail with what seems to be a clever transformation into a stunningly accurate dragon-dinosaur-thing mode which appears to be incredibly detailed. Additionally, the fact he’s the height of Victory Saber, maybe even taller, is extra impressive seeing as this is one figure, not two combined. I’m also loving the two breastplates that are included for this incredible Breastformer (yes that is actually the official Hasbro translation.)
He was shown at MCM Comic Con with a huge throne, blast effects, and an Energon mace, all of which are likely stretch goals.
Two or three years ago when Titan Class figures were £130 (oh, how times have changed) I might’ve said this was overpriced, but in the current climate where most Transformers are marked a bit higher than we’d like (especially Titan Class who are now £200 each), I’d say this figure stands out as one of the better valued products, even compared to his nemesis Victory Saber. So, Hasbro… Liokaiser and Brainmasters when?
