After a lengthy search that included the likes of Nicholas Hoult and Tom Brittney, it has been confirmed by THR that David Corenswet will playing Superman in the upcoming rebooted DC cinematic universe.

Not only that, but it was also announced that Rachel Brosnahan had beaten out the likes of Emma Mackey and Phoebe Dynevor for the role of Lois Lane in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DC Universe.

Corenswet and Brosnahan will make their debuts in the upcoming Superman: Legacy, currently set for release on July 11th 2025.

Expect more news in the near future about the casting of  Lex Luthor and the superheroes The Authority, who are expected to debut in Legacy before headlining their own film.
