Mattel have just announced a collaboration between its Masters of the Universe brand and Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the form of MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE ORIGINS: TURTLES OF GRAYSKULL, a brand new toy line set to be released in 2024 to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of TMNT.
The new line will outfit characters including Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo with Eternian-style battle gear, while He-Man will battle his Mutagen Mutation as Skeletor dons some Turtle-inspired Armor. Oh, and how about that Mouser/Trap Jaw mash-up?
Speaking about the announcement, PJ Lewis, VP and Global Head of Action Figures at Mattel, said “Bringing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into Masters of the Universe is a dream come true for many action figure fans. This is an unprecedented moment to collide fan-favorite properties – never been done before in the rich history of both brands,” said “This collaboration represents two great brands that will ignite the imaginations of fans young and old alike.”
Dion Vlachos, the EVP Licensing and Retail, Consumer Products & Experiences at Paramount added, “It’s thrilling to see this special collection between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Masters of the Universe come to fruition,” said . “Two incredibly popular franchises with multi-generational appeal coming together for a one-of-a-kind crossover toy line is something we know fans will embrace.”
And, ahead of the line’s launch in January 2024, you can feast your eyes on some of the first few figures below, in all their zany, mashed-up glory.
