For those of you who like your geeky goodies to be on the cutesy side, Arizona-based Symbiote Studios may have just the thing for you in the form of their Hasbro-themed plush stuffed toy line, featuring all of your favourites from the world of Transformers, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers, My Little Pony and more!

Each of their 12″ plushies are packed with plenty of cute details, from Megatron’s Fusion Cannon to Snake Eyes’ canine companion Timber, and the quality of the materials and stitching are everything you’d expect from the $24.99 – $29.99 price point.

Their Transformers line is probably the most impressive, boasting a total of 15 individual characters, from fan-favourites like Bumblebee and Starscream to slightly more niche offerings like Skywarp, Thundercracker and Optimus Primal from last year’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie. They even have an Optimus Prime-esque version of Catnip Bravo, their in-house brand mascot who boasts his own impressive line of cute and fluffy merch.

Outside of their Hasbro-themed offerings, Symbiote Studios also sell plush toys featuring characters from video games like Super Monkey Ball, Shovel Knight and Overcooked, as well as T-shirts and their infant-friendly “Plush Melts” (basically extra-soft Plushies), so that whatever your geeky inclinations may be, you’re sure to find something on their online store that appeals to you.

We were fortunate enough to be able to get hands-on with a selection of their most popular Hasbro releases, including everyone’s favourite Dinobot Grimlock and the fearsome (although not really on this occasion) Power Rangers Tyrannosaurus Dinozord, and handed them over to the newest member of the Big Comic Page team, Alexander Harris, for his considered opinion:

Transformers: Grimlock Plush

THOUGHTS: Out of the bag, it’s easy to tell this is a robotic dinosaur (even if you don’t know about Transformers.) The material is really nice, and feels like a well made toy. Stitching is very good quality (if that’s how you review things!) The look is like a Chibi style with an overly large head and this design gives it a cute and funny look. Definitely one for Transformers collectors.

Cuteness rating: 8/10

Power Rangers: Tyrannosaurus DinoZord Plush

THOUGHTS: Out of the bag, this one is a big, bright mean machine (in a cute way!) Another Chibi style, the ears give it an almost dog-like look. The zig zag mouth design looks great and with the clenched fists, gives him a battle-ready look. Quality product, well made, good stitching.

Squishable rating: 7/10
Cuteness rating: 6/10
