J.K. Simmons to play Jim Gordon in “Justice League”!
The Hollywood Reporter have just confirmed that Oscar-winning actor J.K. Simmons is set to play Jim Gordon, Gotham City’s police Commissioner, in both of director Zack Snyder’s upcoming “Justice League” movies.
Simmons, who won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2015 for his role in Whiplash, is no stranger to the world of comic book movies, having become pretty much the essential J. Jonah Jameson of all time in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. He has also starred in the likes of Juno, The Closer and more.
“Justice League: Part One” is scheduled to open on November 17th 2017, and filming is set to begin in April.
