Titan to bring Games Workshop’s BLOOD BOWL to the world of comics this May!

As announced at ComicsPRO, Titan Comics will be releasing a brand new series based on the smash hit Games Workshop board game BLOOD BOWL this May.

Written by Nick Kyme (Warhammer 40,000) and featuring art by Jack Jadson (Teen Titans, Birds of Prey),  Blood Bowl: More Guts, More Glory will hit shelves on May 10th, and will let readers dive into the action with a rag-tag team of humans, the Hochland Harbingers, as they attempt to claw their way to the top of the Blood Bowl League. Can Dreng Sturmblud, a former star player who crashed to rock bottom, help the Harbingers fend off their terrifying opposition?!

Blood Bowl, an American Football-esque board game set in an alternate version of the Warhammer universe, was originally released in 1986, but was recently revised and re-launched last year with brand new rules and more products planned for 2017.

The game has also spawned two successful videogames from Cyanide Studios, with Blood Bowl 2 still being regularly updated with new DLC teams.

Cracking news for fans of the game then, or of Titan’s previous Warhammer-based output, and if you can’t wait until May, you can feast your eyes on some of the variant covers below, featuring offerings from the likes of  Tazio Bettin (Warhammer 40,000: Will of Iron) & Luis Guerrero (Mycroft Holmes and the Apocalypse Handbook), Connor Magill, David Sondered, Ørjan Svendsen (Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III).
