‘Dead by Daylight’ video game gets first comic book series from Titan Comics

This coming March, Titan Comics are teaming up with Behaviour Interactive for a brand new comic book series based on the hit ‘Dead by Daylight’ video game.

The comic series will be written by Harvey Award winner Nadia Shammas and illustrated by Dillon Snook, and will introduce readers to the beloved DbD Killers “The Legion” – comprised of 4 distinct troubled teenagers: high school dropout Frank, small-town girl Julie, practical joker Joey, and the shy and naive Susie – as they navigate their way through their troubled world.

Played by more than 50 million players globally and across all platforms, Dead by Daylight, known as the zeitgeist of horror, is a thrilling game of cat and mouse, where four Survivors try to escape a dreadful Killer in ever-repeating Trials, set to appease a malevolent Entity. Since its inception in 2016, the game has collaborated with countless cult licences from movies, TV shows, manga and more. With 28 Killers, 31 Survivors – both original and licensed as well as 17 original maps, Dead by Daylight is the place where horror and action lives.

Speaking about the series, Titan Comics Editor Phoebe Hedges said “The Legion are the perfect Killers to kick off the Dead by Daylight comics. The group is an innately recognisable and pervasive evil, which can be much scarier than the gory or grotesque. Nadia and Dillon give a real nuance to The Legion’s descent into darkness. It’s so exciting to be bringing Dead by Daylight to the comic page. We’re truly bringing the tension from the game and turning it into a thrilling story.”

What an awesome time for Dead by Daylight, appearing in this format for the first time. The Legion is quite an interesting set of characters. They are great to dig into since they embody the very universal themes of teen angst, rage and revenge.”

Dead By Daylight #1 will hit comic shops and digital devices in March 2023.
