The First SHAZAM! Trailer Brings a Lighter Tone to the DCU [SDCC18]
If you’ve managed to compose yourself after the unbridled awesomeness that is the Aquaman trailer, Warner Bros have another treat for you in the form of the first look at SHAZAM!
With a story that seems to borrow heavily from the insanely popular New 52 arc from Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, the trailer sees Asher Angel’s Billy Batson coming to terms with the powers that turn him into the Superman-esque Shazam! (Zachary Levi).
With a far lighter tone (and aesthetic – look mom, no shadows!) that most of the previous DC Cinematic offerings, this feels like it could be a real sleeper hit when it premiers next year.

Directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer and Djimon Hounsou, SHAZAM! will hit cinemas in April 2019.
