VERDICT: To start us off, let’s look at Lando.  He’s really accurate, capturing all the important details. What else can I say?

VERDICT: To be honest, Dengar is my favourite bounty hunter (Cad Bane is a close second), and this new release looks to have captured the character perfectly. Honestly, this might be the first Black Series figure I buy.  It’s that good.

VERDICT: This is a long awaited upgrade of the okay-ish original Black Series C-3PO, and it’s safe to say that they’re absolutely the character. That said, I would’ve loved him to come packaged with an R2 for £5 or so more.

Star Wars The Black Series Archive Emperor Palpatine

VERDICT: This looks really good, but the soft cape looks a bit naff, which is a shame.  However, with the increasing number of Black Series playsets (more on that in a moment), I do think a Throne Room is in order.

VERDICT: I have to admit, the Star wars games are not really my forte, but I’ve watched enough Clone Wars to understand the Nightbrothers. And in that respect, this is definitely a great representation of one, capturing the iconic tattoo look perfectly. If only we had a Black Series Rancor for him to ride on.

Fans and collectors can imagine scenes from the STAR WARS Galaxy with this premium STAR WARS: THE BLACK SERIES 6-INCH GAMING GREATS NIGHTBROTHER ARCHER figure, inspired by the JEDI: FALLEN ORDER video game. Star Wars The Vintage Collection Clone Trooper (501st Legion)

VERDICT: Up next, let’s look at a figure you are going to want to by a few of. This incredible 501st Legion Trooper captures every detail possible at this scale. I would quite like a TVC 4 figure boxset of these not dissimilar to Lego’s 501st battle pack (three generic troopers, one airborne trooper), but this is still a cracking release.

STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION 3.75-INCH scale classic figures and vehicles feature vintage-inspired packaging and original Kenner branding. This STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION CLONE TROOPER (501st LEGION) figure is inspired by the character in STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS and makes a great gift for STAR WARS collectors and fans. This figure comes with 2 entertainment-inspired accessories; a great addition to any STAR WARS collection. Highly articulated with fully poseable head, arms, and legs, the figure can be displayed in any STAR WARS figure and vehicle collection and features premium detail and design across multiple points of articulation inspired by STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS.

Star Wars The Vintage Collection Boba Fett’s Throne Room

(Retail Price: £209.99 /Available: Fall 2023 / PRE-ORDER)

VERDICT: Last, but by no means least, this set is incredible. You get so much, it’s a great way to display your ROTJ or BOBF TVC figures, and this opens up so many opportunities for the future of TVC. My only real niggle is that you don’t also get an appropriate figure like Bib Fortuna or Boba Fett.

Featuring vintage-inspired packaging and original Kenner branding, this STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION 3.75-INCH BOBA FETT’S THRONE ROOM PLAYSET can be used to create a full scene inspired by STAR WARS: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT live-action series with moveable pieces and multiple detailed accessories. The playset also includes a highly poseable BIB FORTUNA (TATOOINE) figure, with Kenner-inspired staff accessory. Presented on STAR WARS: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT cardback the playset makes for a great gift for any STAR WARS fans.
