Hasbro Figure Review – Star Wars Gaming Greats and Vintage Collection (March 2022)
So, at last week’s Star Wars fan site celebration, Hasbro did not shy away from showing off some great reveals, including figures from the Gaming Greats and Vintage Collection lines.
Star Wars The Black Series Gaming Greats 13th Battalion Trooper
(RRP: £29.99, PRE-ORDER)
VERDICT: I’m a massive fan of this release, and I love how it’s basically just a generic Clone Trooper, able to be bought in mass. I do wish it came with an extra rifle or a rangefinder and visor just to add a bit more diversity into the ranks, but as it stands, this is a great army-builder release.
Also known as the “Iron” Battalion, the 13th Battalion was home to clone troopers clad in Phase II clone trooper armor in this third-person action-adventure game, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Star Wars The Black Series Gaming Greats RC-1140 (Fixer)
(RRP: £29.99, PRE-ORDER)
VERDICT: This is another stunning addition to the slowly growing Clone Commando unit. The colours of the clothers are striking, and Hasbro did not skip out on accessories either, including both his blaster and backpack in this release.

Star Wars The Vintage Collection Imperial Gunner
(RRP: £16.99, PRE-ORDER)
VERDICT: This is lovely, the spitting image of the movie character. You also get a weapon for them, but unfortunately, he doesn’t come with the Death Star Super Laser. Come on Hasbro, when can we get a Death Star set in the style of Boba Fett’s Throne Room?

VERDICT: I’m a massive fan of this. TVC fans have been begging for a new R2 for ages now, and Hasbro did not disappoint. One small side note is that I can’t tell whether the persiscope/slicer tab on or fold out of R2, although because of the scale, I’d guess the latter.
A skilled starship mechanic and fighter pilot’s assistant, he has an unlikely but enduring friendship with the fussy protocol droid C-3PO

VERDICT: Last year, Hasbro released a box of four Stormtroopers, and ever since then, fans have wanted these bucket-heads to have their own solo release. While is is the exact same figure, the Vintage Collection Stormtrooper already nailed the look so you definitely you wouldn’t be disappointed with a few (hundred) of them.
Elite shock troops fanatically loyal to the Empire and impossible to sway from the Imperial cause. They wear white armor that offers a wide range of survival equipment

VERDICT: This is great, so much painted and sculpted detail, although not really one you can buy en mass though. Plus, the new display set style Hasbro are opting for lately has so many options – imagine a Cloud City or a Twin Pod Cloud Car vehicle!

VERDICT: A lot of my thoughts on this line up with the previous figure, though I do like that by releasing these in the same wave, it gives people immediate access to multiple variants.
