Masters of the Universe ‘Masterverse Dark-Lyn’ Deluxe Action Figure coming to Mattel Creations
Mattel have just announced their latest ‘Mattel Creations’ time-limited exclusive in the form of Dark-Lyn, the fan-favourite goddess form of Evil-Lyn from the Netflix Masters of the Universe: Revelation animated series.
The Deluxe Masterverse figure will be available to pre-order on the Mattel Creations website from 9am PT on the 14th of February, priced £34, and if past exclusives are anything to go by, expect this one to sell out quickly.
Online reaction to the announcement has so far been fairly mixed, as you might expect. On the one hand, it’s great to see such a high-profile figure getting a featured release on the Mattel Creations platform, as opposed to the recent influx of lesser known characters, but on the other hand, a lot of people are justifiably frustrated that it’s now going to be incredibly difficult for them to get their hands on a figure that they’ve been waiting for since the Netflix series.
For what it’s worth, the figure itself looks fantastic – which is becoming something of a recurring trend with the popular ‘Masterverse’ line – boasting a cloth skirt and cape, 3 swappable heads, energy effects and the usual high level of detail and articulation that you’d come to expect by this point. It’s just a little frustrating that a huge amount of the fanbase are now going to have to delve into the murky waters of the secondary market if they want to obtain one of their own.
